What are orbs and how to use a table to calculate them
Orbs (or orbs) are the maximum allowable deviation from the exact aspect for the aspect to still be valid. All elements of the natal chart form aspects to each other. Aspect is the distance between them. To form an aspect, there must be a certain number of degrees between the positions of the planets.

There are several types of aspects, but the most important are the major aspects:

  • connection 0 degrees
  • opposition 180 degrees
  • trine 120 degrees
  • 90 degree square
  • sextile 60 degrees
But if there are a little more or a little less than 60 degrees between the elements of the natal chart (or as much as required for an aspect), then this will still be considered an aspect. Some error is allowed. For this, there is such a thing as orbs.

Orbs (or orbs) are the maximum allowable deviation from the exact aspect for the aspect to still be valid. In Astronov's astroprocessor, the following value of orbis is set for each type of chart. You can edit the size of the orbs as you wish.

The orbis is set depending on the brightness of the planet, so the largest orbs are set for the luminaries - the Sun and the Moon. The calculation of orbis is taken by the largest value. That is, in opposition between the Moon (10°) and Saturn (5°), we take an orb of 10 degrees.

In the paid version of the Astronov astroprocessor, it is possible to choose the method for calculating orbis - by the largest, by the average or by the smallest value of the orbis.
